24vdc Operation, Din Rail Mounted, 2 Amp Relay Contacts
Operates An Output Relay Contact When A Preset 4-20ma
Input Threshold Is Reached
Outputs Will Operate When Loop Current Either Rises Or Falls
Beyond The Preset Threshold (Strap Selectable)
Input Threshold Is Set Via 25 Turn Trimmer Resistor
Each Module Has Two Independent Input / Output Channels
Led Indicators Show Output Activity On Each Channel
The Two Channels May Be Combined To Give Two Output Thresholds
On A Common 4-20ma Input
This module may be used to monitor a conventional 4 to 20 ma current
loop as used in a wide range of industrial sensor devices. When a
pre-defined current loop threshold is reached, the relay for a given
channel will either operate or release, depending on the internal
strap positions.
It is ideal where an instrument must activate an audible or visual alarm when
a certain temperature, pressure or weight is measured by a 4-20ma sensor.
The two channels may be connected in parallel so that one sensor may have two
output thresholds. This is useful where the first threshold may activate a
fan or a sprinkler, and the second threshold would activate an alarm to indicate
a system failure.
Note that the current loop ‘Negative’ must be common with the Neg
24V supply of the system.
