A New Product - Designing the Control Circuit
This step is a necessary part of developing any electronic system. Using the Quotation document as a reference, the hardware of the project is broken down into a set of essential parts. A microprocessor and many other components are chosen and worked into a schematic diagram. Usually this involves a lot of calculations to ensure that optimum component values and power ratings are used. A microprocessor is normally necessary to provide the intelligence to the design and one must be selected that will have appropriately matching inputs and outputs to do the job. From this process a working circuit diagram is produced and printed on A4 sheets. Later, this diagram will form an essential part of the project documentation.
Sometimes there are aspects of the circuit that are not able to be directly included and some experimentation is required before the design can be confirmed. When the circuit is turned into an actual circuit board the aim is for the hardware to be as close as possible to a working system.
